The OP177GSZ-REEL from Analog Devices is an ultraprecision operational amplifier that features one of the highest precision performances available. With a maximum input offset voltage of only 25uV at room temperature and maximum offset voltage drift of 0.3uV/°C, the OP177 eliminates the need for external offset adjustment in most applications. The device maintains 12 V/uV open-loop gain over the full ±10V output range, with 130dB minimum CMRR and 120dB minimum PSRR. As a low-noise bipolar input amplifier, it provides chopper-stabilizer-level performance without the associated noise, chopper spikes, and limited common-mode range. The G-grade SOIC version is supplied on tape and reel.

The OP177 uses a bipolar input stage with laser-trimmed offset voltage and offset drift. The input stage employs a balanced differential pair with precision-trimmed collector resistors that minimize the initial offset voltage to 25uV maximum. The second stage includes additional trimming for offset drift compensation. The high open-loop gain (12 V/uV) is achieved through a triple-stage amplification architecture. Offset nulling pins (pins 1 and 8) allow further fine-tuning of the offset voltage if needed, though the initial trimmed accuracy is sufficient for most applications. The device operates from dual supplies of ±3V to ±18V with a maximum supply current of 2mA.
