The NX3215SA-32.768K-STD-MUA-9 from NDK is a 32.768kHz tuning fork crystal in a 3.2×1.5mm SMD ceramic package with 9pF load capacitance and +/-20ppm tolerance for RTC timing applications.

The tuning fork crystal uses a X-cut quartz element vibrating at 32.768kHz in a flexural mode. The ceramic SMD package provides hermetic sealing and mechanical protection. When connected in the feedback path of a CMOS oscillator with 9pF load capacitance, the piezoelectric effect sustains precise oscillation. The 32.768kHz frequency is divided by 2^15 to produce exactly 1Hz for real-time clock applications.
