The MRA4004T3G from onsemi is a surface-mount standard recovery power rectifier designed for automotive power management applications. The device features a glass passivated junction construction that provides stable and reliable operation at high temperatures. Rated at 400V peak repetitive reverse voltage and 1A average rectified forward current, it is suitable for general-purpose rectification, reverse polarity protection, and freewheeling diode applications. The 1.1V maximum forward voltage at 1A provides reasonable conduction efficiency. The device is AEC-Q101 qualified, meeting the rigorous requirements of automotive applications.

The MRA4004T3G is a PN junction diode designed for power rectification. When the anode voltage exceeds the cathode voltage by more than the forward voltage drop (approximately 0.7-1.1V), the diode conducts current. The glass passivated PN junction provides stable forward characteristics with low leakage. When reverse-biased, the diode blocks current flow with a maximum leakage of 10uA at 400V. The standard recovery characteristic means the device is suitable for line-frequency (50/60Hz) rectification and low-frequency freewheeling applications rather than high-frequency switching converters.
