The MBRD20150CT-13 from Diodes Incorporated is a dual common-cathode Schottky barrier rectifier in TO-252-3 (DPAK) package. Rated for 150V reverse voltage and 20A total forward current (10A per leg). The low 0.90V forward voltage at 10A reduces power dissipation in high-current rectification. The 175C max junction temperature and 6C/W thermal resistance enable reliable operation in demanding power supply applications.

The MBRD20150CT-13 operates as a dual Schottky rectifier with common cathode configuration. (1) Each Schottky diode consists of a metal-semiconductor junction that provides fast switching with negligible reverse recovery time, unlike PN junction diodes. The common cathode connection shares the center pin (pin 2) for both diodes. (2) In forward bias, the Schottky junction conducts with a low 0.90V drop at 10A, significantly lower than silicon PN diodes (1.2-1.5V). This reduces conduction losses and heat generation. (3) In reverse bias, the 150V rating with only 50uA leakage at 25C provides effective blocking. The dual common-cathode configuration is ideal for full-wave rectification center-tap or output rectifier applications.
