The LT1912EDD#TRPBF is a 1.5MHz step-down switching regulator from Analog Devices with integrated 1.9A power switch, providing up to 1.5A output from a 4V to 36V input. The 1.5MHz switching frequency allows the use of small inductors and ceramic capacitors, while internal compensation simplifies design. The adjustable output starts from 1.25V, and the tiny 3x3mm DFN package minimizes board space.

The LT1912 uses a current-mode control architecture with an internal NPN power switch. The 1.5MHz fixed switching frequency allows small external components. Current mode control provides excellent line and load transient response and simplifies loop compensation. The internal slope compensation prevents subharmonic oscillation at duty cycles above 50%. The shutdown pin reduces quiescent current to 25uA. The device is internally compensated, requiring only the output voltage feedback divider and a few external passive components for a complete solution.
