LPC1788FBD208

The LPC1788FBD208 from NXP Semiconductors is the highest-pin-count variant of the LPC1788 family, offering 165 GPIOs in a 208-pin LQFP package. It combines an Arm Cortex-M3 core running at 120 MHz with 512 KB Flash, 96 KB SRAM, an external memory controller, 10/100 Ethernet MAC, USB 2.0, and an LCD controller. This makes it ideal for applications requiring extensive I/O, external memory expansion, and display capabilities.

The LPC1788FBD208 operates identically to the LPC1788FBD144 but with additional GPIO pins exposed. The Cortex-M3 core accesses Flash, SRAM, and peripherals through a multi-layer AHB bus matrix supporting concurrent bus transactions. The external memory controller supports SRAM, ROM, Flash, and SDRAM devices for expanded memory. The LCD controller directly drives TFT panels with hardware cursor and palette support. Multiple power domains enable selective power-down for reduced consumption.
