LM7322MM/NOPB

The LM7322MM/NOPB from Texas Instruments is a dual high-output-current rail-to-rail input/output operational amplifier in a VSSOP-8 package. Part of the PowerWise family, it achieves 20MHz GBW and 18V/μs slew rate while consuming only 1.1mA per channel. The output can source 65mA and sink 100mA, making it suitable for driving heavy loads including coaxial cables. The input common-mode range extends 0.3V beyond both rails, enabling high-side and low-side sensing. A unique feature is unlimited capacitive load drive without oscillation, eliminating stability concerns with long PCB traces or cable loads. The device operates from 2.5V to 32V single supply or ±1.25V to ±16V dual supplies.

The LM7322 uses a complementary bipolar input stage that extends the common-mode range 0.3V beyond both supply rails, enabling both high-side and low-side current sensing. The rail-to-rail output stage uses a class AB push-pull architecture capable of sourcing 65mA and sinking 100mA while swinging within 300mV of the rails at 15mA load. The output stage is designed with sufficient phase margin and bandwidth to drive unlimited capacitive loads without oscillation, a feature achieved through internal compensation that adapts to the load. The device maintains consistent performance parameters across the wide supply range, making it easy to use in systems with varying supply voltages such as automotive battery rails.
