The ISO7760FDBQ from Texas Instruments is a six-channel reinforced digital isolator with all six channels configured in the reverse direction (0 forward / 6 reverse), making it ideal for applications requiring multiple return-path signals across an isolation barrier. The device supports data rates up to 100 Mbps with propagation delay of 10.7 ns typical at 5 V supply. The dual-capacitor SiO2 insulation barrier provides 3000 Vrms isolation voltage (DBQ package) with 10 kVPK surge isolation and 85 kV/µs minimum CMTI. The F suffix indicates default output low state during power-up. Robust EMC performance includes ±8 kV IEC 61000-4-2 contact discharge protection across the isolation barrier. Safety certifications include DIN EN IEC 60747-17, UL 1577, IEC 61010-1, IEC 62368-1, and IEC 60601-1 for industrial and medical applications.

The ISO7760FDBQ uses Texas Instruments’ capacitive isolation technology with SiO2 dielectric barriers between input and output. Each channel consists of an input modulator, two isolation capacitors, and an output demodulator. Digital signals are modulated into high-frequency pulses, transmitted across the capacitive barrier, and demodulated back to the original logic levels. The dual-capacitor architecture provides differential signal transmission that rejects common-mode transients up to 85 kV/µs minimum. The F suffix version includes a default-low output circuit that holds outputs low when input power is lost. UVLO circuits on both sides ensure defined output states during power-up and power-down transitions. The enable pins can place outputs in high-impedance state for bus sharing or power conservation.
