The ISO5852SQDWRQ1 is an automotive-qualified, reinforced isolated gate driver for IGBTs and MOSFETs with split outputs (OUTH and OUTL). It provides 2.5A source and 5A sink peak current with 5.7kVrms capacitive isolation and 100kV/us CMTI. Built-in desaturation fault detection identifies overcurrent conditions and initiates a soft turn-off procedure. The active Miller clamp prevents parasitic turn-on during high-voltage transients. The device is AEC-Q100 qualified and certified to UL 1577, VDE, CQC, and TUV standards.

The ISO5852S-Q1 uses capacitive SiO2 isolation to separate the input CMOS logic from the output power stage. Two complementary CMOS inputs control the output state. The gate drive encoder transmits signals across the isolation barrier, decoded on the output side. The DESAT detection circuit monitors IGBT collector-emitter voltage; when an overcurrent condition is detected, the mute logic blocks the isolator output and initiates a 2us soft turn-off via OUTL. The active Miller clamp provides a low-impedance path for Miller current during off-state. UVLO on both sides ensures gate drive readiness, indicated by the RDY pin.
