The IRFH4253DTRPBF from Infineon Technologies is a dual N-Channel enhancement-mode power MOSFET housed in a compact PG-TISON-8 (PQFN 5×6) leadless surface-mount package. Utilizing Infineon FastIRFET technology, the device integrates two independently accessible N-Channel MOSFETs with different current ratings in a single package: MOSFET 1 rated at 5.6A with 42 mOhm maximum RDS(on), and MOSFET 2 rated at 8.4A with 24 mOhm maximum RDS(on), both at VGS=4.5V. The 25V drain-source voltage rating and low gate charge make this device ideal for high-frequency switching applications in DC-DC converters and motor drive circuits. The PQFN 5×6 package provides excellent thermal performance with low parasitic inductance, enabling efficient high-frequency operation. Note: This product is marked as Not for New Design; new designs should consider the IRFH6250DTRPBF or equivalent replacement.

The IRFH4253DTRPBF integrates two independent N-Channel enhancement-mode vertical DMOS transistors in a single PQFN package. Each MOSFET operates as a voltage-controlled switch where a positive gate-source voltage above the threshold creates an inversion layer connecting drain and source, enabling current flow. The FastIRFET technology optimizes the cell geometry and gate structure for reduced gate charge and faster switching transitions compared to standard HEXFET devices. In a synchronous buck converter application, MOSFET 2 (higher current, lower RDS(on)) typically serves as the low-side synchronous rectifier handling the higher RMS currents, while MOSFET 1 (lower gate charge) serves as the high-side control switch where switching losses dominate. The leadless PQFN package minimizes package parasitic inductance in the source and gate loops, reducing voltage overshoot and enabling cleaner switching waveforms at higher frequencies.
