The Murata GRM155R71C104KA88D is a 100nF 16V X7R MLCC in the ultra-compact 0402 package, providing the standard 100nF decoupling function in the smallest possible footprint. It is designed for high-density portable electronics where minimizing PCB area is paramount, such as smartphones, wearables, and IoT modules.

The GRM155R71C104KA88D uses Murata’s thin-layer MLCC technology to achieve 100nF in the tiny 0402 (1.0 x 0.5mm) package. The X7R dielectric provides ±15% capacitance stability over temperature. The 0402 package has slightly higher ESL than larger packages, but for typical IC decoupling frequencies (1-100MHz), it provides effective bypass performance. The compact size allows placement very close to IC power pins, minimizing loop inductance.
