The EB1216JA10-32.000M TR uses a synthetic quartz crystal element cut to vibrate at its fundamental resonance frequency of 32.000MHz. When connected across the amplifier pins of an oscillator circuit (typically the inverting amplifier built into an MCU or dedicated clock generator), the crystal provides a highly stable frequency-determining element. The 10pF load capacitance specification indicates the total external capacitance (including PCB stray capacitance) required across the crystal terminals for the oscillator to operate at the specified frequency.
