The BL9342BLB from Shanghai Belling is a high-frequency step-down switching regulator with integrated 500 mΩ high-side MOSFET. It supports input voltages from 4.2V to 40V and delivers up to 600 mA output. The 1.8 MHz switching frequency enables compact external components, while internal soft-start, compensation, and precision current limit simplify design. Its wide input range makes it suitable for industrial, automotive, and battery-powered applications.

The BL9342BLB operates as a current-mode non-synchronous buck converter. An internal high-side NMOS switch controls energy transfer to the output inductor, while an external Schottky diode acts as the freewheeling element. Current-mode control provides fast transient response and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. The error amplifier compares the FB pin voltage (sensed via external resistor divider) with the 0.8V internal reference to regulate the PWM duty cycle. Internal soft-start gradually ramps the output voltage. Frequency foldback at light loads maintains efficiency while thermal shutdown protects against overheating.
