The BFTC-415+ is a Mini-Circuits LTCC ceramic bandpass filter covering 330 to 500MHz with 415MHz center frequency in a tiny hermetically sealed ceramic package. The 4.0dB typical insertion loss with 1.5:1 VSWR provides good in-band signal integrity. The 25dB minimum rejection in both lower (1-240MHz) and upper (650-1800MHz) stopbands suppresses out-of-band interference. The 4W maximum RF power handling at +25C (derating to 2W at 85C) makes this filter suitable for transmitter output filtering. The LTCC construction provides temperature stability from -40C to +85C and hermetic sealing for harsh environments. The + suffix indicates RoHS compliance.

The BFTC-415+ uses LTCC multi-layer ceramic technology to implement coupled resonator bandpass filters. Multiple ceramic layers with internal metal patterns form resonators coupled through apertures in the ground plane. The passband (330-500MHz) is determined by resonator lengths and coupling coefficients. The 25dB rejection is achieved by filter order and transmission zeros from cross-couplings. The 4W power handling is enabled by high-Q resonators and thermally conductive ceramic. Hermetic sealing prevents moisture ingress that could shift filter response.
