The ATMEGA32L-8MUR is a low-voltage variant of the popular ATmega32 AVR microcontroller from Microchip Technology. It features 32KB ISP Flash, 2KB SRAM, and 1KB EEPROM in a compact 44-pin VQFN package. The L-suffix indicates operation down to 2.7V, making it ideal for single-cell Li-Ion or dual-cell alkaline battery applications. The AVR core executes most instructions in a single clock cycle, delivering up to 8 MIPS throughput at 8MHz. Rich peripherals include 8-channel 10-bit ADC, 4 PWM channels, USART, SPI, and Two-Wire (I2C) interfaces.

The ATMEGA32L uses the AVR enhanced RISC architecture with 32 general-purpose registers, enabling single-cycle instruction execution for most ALU operations. The Harvard architecture separates program and data memory buses, allowing simultaneous instruction fetch and data access. Flash memory stores the program and is in-system programmable via SPI.
