The Diodes Inc AP22802AW5-7 is a 2A single-channel load switch in SOT-25 package with 55mOhm on-resistance. It provides compact power routing for USB port power control, subsystem power gating, and hot-swap insertion in portable and consumer electronics. The controlled output discharge feature prevents voltage floating when the switch is off.

The AP22802AW5-7 integrates a P-channel MOSFET with gate drive, control logic, and output discharge circuitry in a single SOT-25 package. When EN is high, the P-channel MOSFET turns on, connecting VIN to VOUT with 55mOhm on-resistance. When EN goes low, the MOSFET turns off and the internal discharge resistor (typically 250Ohm) is connected from VOUT to GND, providing controlled output voltage ramp-down. This prevents floating voltages that could cause issues with downstream ICs. The slew-rate limited turn-on prevents inrush current spikes.
