The ADG1419BRMZ-REEL7 is an Analog Devices single-pole single-throw (SPST) iCMOS analog switch with 1.5 Ω maximum on-resistance at ±15 V supply. The iCMOS manufacturing process combines high-voltage CMOS and bipolar technologies, enabling 33 V operation with dramatically lower power consumption than conventional CMOS. The device features 4 pC charge injection and 10 nA maximum off-leakage current, making it ideal for precision applications where signal integrity is critical. The normally-open switch conducts bidirectionally with rail-to-rail signal handling. Packaged in a compact 8-lead MSOP rated for -40°C to +85°C.

The ADG1419 operates as a single-channel analog switch using complementary N-channel and P-channel MOSFETs in parallel. When the control input (IN) is high, both MOSFETs are turned on, creating a low-impedance path (1.5 Ω) between the source (S) and drain (D) terminals. The parallel NMOS/PMOS structure ensures near-constant on-resistance across the full signal range from VSS to VDD. When IN is low, both MOSFETs are off, presenting a high-impedance (open-circuit) state with less than 10 nA leakage. The charge injection of 4 pC occurs during switching transitions, caused by capacitive coupling from the gate to the channel.
