The AD8031ARZ-REEL7 from Analog Devices is a single 80MHz rail-to-rail voltage feedback op amp in SOIC-8. Features 30V/µs slew rate, 6.5nV/√Hz noise, and 2.7-12V supply range with 1.3mA quiescent current. Rail-to-rail I/O with 0.1dB flatness to 12MHz for video applications. Drives unlimited capacitive loads. ARZ suffix denotes SOIC-8, REEL7 denotes 1000/reel tape-and-reel. Excellent choice for high-speed signal conditioning and ADC drivers.

The AD8031 uses a voltage feedback architecture with a complementary bipolar input stage to achieve rail-to-rail input common-mode range. The output stage uses a push-pull configuration that swings within 40mV of both supply rails at 1mA load, and within 100mV at 10mA. The 80MHz GBW and 30V/µs slew rate are achieved through a high-impedance node architecture with internal compensation. Unlike current-feedback amps, the AD8031 maintains constant bandwidth at higher gains (GBW/Gain = bandwidth). The device is unity-gain stable and can drive unlimited capacitive loads due to a unique output stage design that prevents oscillation under heavy capacitive loading.
