XTR116U/2K5 from TI is a precision 4-20mA current loop transmitter with on-chip 5V regulator and 2.5V reference for two-wire 4-20mA transmitter applications. SOIC-8. /2K5 = 2500-unit tape-and-reel.

Working Principle

Converts voltage input from sensor/bridge into precision 4-20mA current loop output. On-chip 5V VREG powers external circuitry (up to 3.6mA). 2.5V VREF provides bias. Current output is loop-powered, requiring only two wires. Precise span and offset adjustment via external resistors.
