The SST26VF016B-104I/SN operates as a serial Quad I/O Flash memory. (1) The memory array is organized as 512 uniform 4KB sectors. In standard SPI mode, data is transferred serially on one data pin at up to 104MHz. In SQI mode, address and data are transferred on 4 pins simultaneously, quadrupling the effective data rate to 416Mbps. (2) Read operations in SQI mode can achieve XIP (execute-in-place) performance suitable for direct MCU code execution without shadowing to RAM. The 4KB uniform sectors allow fine-grained storage management, while 32KB and 64KB blocks enable efficient bulk erase. (3) Write operations follow the standard Flash sequence: write-enable command, then page-program command (up to 256 bytes per program).
