Product Overview
SN74HCT14DR from TI is a hex Schmitt-trigger inverter in SOIC-14. HCT family: TTL-compatible inputs, CMOS output. 4.5-5.5V supply. Schmitt trigger provides hysteresis for noisy signals.
Working Principle
Six independent Schmitt-trigger inverters. Hysteresis on input: different thresholds for rising and falling edges. Cleans up slow edges and noisy signals. HCT version accepts TTL input levels (0.8V/2.0V) with CMOS output swing.
