The NCP45520IMNTWG-H from onsemi is a 5A integrated load switch with an ultra-low 16mΩ on-resistance in a compact WDFN-6 (2x2mm) package. It supports input voltages as low as 0.75V, making it suitable for sub-1V power rail switching in advanced SoC applications. The adjustable slew rate controls inrush current during rail turn-on, while the integrated output discharge resistor rapidly de-energizes the rail during turn-off, ensuring clean power sequencing.

The NCP45520IMNTWG-H uses an N-channel MOSFET as the main pass element, controlled by a charge pump gate driver. When the ON pin is driven high, the charge pump gradually raises the gate voltage, and an external capacitor on the SR pin sets the slew rate of the output voltage ramp. This controlled turn-on limits inrush current into downstream bypass capacitors. When the ON pin is driven low, the gate is quickly discharged and an internal pull-down resistor on the output rapidly discharges the load capacitance. Reverse current blocking prevents current flow from output to input when the switch is off.
