The ISO7341FCDWR is a quad digital isolator from TI in SOIC-16W with 5000Vrms isolation rating and 150Mbps data rate (F suffix). It uses capacitive isolation technology with silicon dioxide (SiO2) dielectric between on-chip capacitor plates. Each channel consists of a transmitter that encodes the input signal into high-frequency pulses, and a receiver that decodes them on the isolated side. The SiO2 dielectric provides 5000Vrms isolation withstand voltage (higher than the 2500Vrms standard grade). The 150Mbps data rate supports high-speed digital protocols including SPI at 75MHz. Each side operates independently at 2.375-5.5V, enabling level translation across the isolation barrier. The device draws only 1.5mA per channel at 5V with 1Mbps data rate. The refresh circuit transmits DC state updates every 4us to maintain correct output even when input is static. Propagation delay is 10ns typical with 2ns channel-to-channel skew. The C suffix indicates default output state: channels A,C are high (if side 1 is unpowered), channels B,D are low. The D suffix specifies 5000Vrms rating. The W suffix indicates wide body (300mil) SOIC package. The EN pins (EN1, EN2) independently disable outputs on each side for power management. Applications include industrial communication isolation, motor drive isolation, and medical equipment isolation.
