The MPS MP2315GJ-Z is a high-efficiency 3A, 24V, 500kHz synchronous step-down converter in a compact TSOT23-8 package. With integrated 90mΩ/40mΩ power MOSFETs, it provides synchronous operation for higher efficiency over the full load range. The AAM (Advanced Asynchronous Modulation) power-save mode maintains high efficiency at light loads.

The MPS MP2315GJ-Z is a 3A synchronous step-down converter in a compact TSOT23-8 package, operating from 4.5V to 24V. With integrated 90mΩ/40mΩ MOSFETs and synchronous rectification, it achieves high efficiency across the full load range. The AAM power-save mode maintains efficiency at light loads, making it suitable for battery-powered applications. Note: Not recommended for new designs; MP2393GTL-Z is the recommended replacement.

The MP2315GJ-Z uses current-mode control with integrated high-side and low-side N-channel MOSFETs for synchronous rectification. During the on-time, the high-side MOSFET conducts, storing energy in the inductor. During the off-time, the low-side MOSFET replaces the Schottky diode, reducing conduction losses and improving efficiency. The AAM (Advanced Asynchronous Modulation) mode switches to asynchronous operation at light loads, skipping pulses to reduce switching losses while maintaining output regulation. The hiccup-mode overcurrent protection limits average fault current during short circuits.
