The LF2012-AR90FAB is an EMI suppression filter chip in a 2012 (0805 metric) surface-mount package. It provides noise attenuation on signal and power lines in compact electronic designs. The 0805 footprint is compatible with standard SMT assembly processes and occupies minimal board space. It is used in high-speed digital interfaces, power supply lines, and RF signal paths where electromagnetic interference must be controlled.

The LF2012-AR90FAB operates as a passive EMI filter using either ferrite material or LC structure to attenuate unwanted high-frequency noise. Common-mode filters present high impedance to common-mode currents while passing differential signals, while differential-mode filters attenuate noise between lines. The filter’s impedance increases with frequency, blocking high-frequency interference while allowing the desired signal to pass. The 0805 package accommodates the necessary ferrite or inductor/capacitor elements in a monolithic or composite construction.
