DS1232+ from ADI/Maxim is a microprocessor monitor with power-on reset, brownout detection, and watchdog timer. Active-low reset with 350ms pulse. Three watchdog timeout options. Manual reset with internal debounce. + suffix = RoHS lead-free.

Working Principle

Monitors VCC and asserts reset when below threshold (4.87V for 5V). Watchdog requires periodic ST strobes; timeout causes reset. TD pin selects timeout. PBRST provides manual reset with debounce. Reset guaranteed active down to VCC=1V.
