The B3U-1000P-B operates as a momentary contact tactile switch using a metal dome contact mechanism. **Contact Mechanism**: A stainless steel dome snaps between two stable states when force is applied. In the resting state, the dome holds the contacts apart (open circuit). When the actuator is pressed with force exceeding 1.57N, the dome inverts, making contact between the two terminals. **Tactile Feedback**: The snap-action of the metal dome provides a distinct tactile click that confirms the switch has been actuated. The 0.2mm travel distance and 1.57N operating force provide a comfortable user experience. **Release**: When the actuating force is removed, the dome springs back to its original shape, opening the contact. This momentary action makes the switch suitable for user input where the circuit should only be closed while the button is held. **Surface Mount**: The switch is designed for reflow soldering with gull-wing terminals that provide secure PCB attachment and visual solder joint inspection.
