The 66.666 MHz frequency is widely used in MPEG-2 and digital video processing applications as the master clock for video encoding/decoding. The T1 temperature code extends the operating range to -40C to +85C for industrial environments, and the B stability code guarantees ±50ppm total frequency accuracy including all contributing factors. The stop function allows the system to disable the oscillator output during sleep modes, reducing current consumption from 70mA to 20uA.
