The Littelfuse 0466.125NRHF is a 125mA very fast-acting surface mount fuse from the 466 Series, designed for secondary circuit protection in space-constrained portable electronic devices. Housed in a Slim 1206 package (3.175 x 1.524 x 0.58mm), this halogen-free and lead-free fuse features a very fast-acting (FF) opening characteristic with a nominal melting I²t of 0.00064 A²sec. The 50A breaking capacity at 125V AC/DC ensures reliable interruption of fault currents. Recognized by UL, CSA, and TUV, it meets international safety standards.

The 466 Series fuse uses an alloy-based thin-film element deposited on a high-temperature substrate. When current through the fuse exceeds the rated value, the element heats up due to I²R power dissipation. At the melting point, the element opens, interrupting the circuit. The very fast-acting (FF) characteristic means the fuse opens quickly at relatively low overcurrents: 200% of rated current opens within 5 seconds, and 300% opens within 0.2 seconds. The alloy element construction provides superior inrush withstand characteristics compared to ceramic or glass-based chip fuses, reducing nuisance tripping from transient surges.
