The MT25QL128ABA1EW7-0SIT from Micron is a 128Mb (16MB) 3V multiple I/O serial NOR Flash in W-PDFN-8 (6x5mm). Supports SPI/Dual/Quad I/O at up to 133MHz STR with 90MB/s read throughput. Execute-in-place (XIP) and DTR modes up to 90MHz. 64KB sector/4KB subsector erase. 100K erase cycles with 20-year retention. 64-byte OTP area. L suffix denotes 2.7-3.6V, E suffix denotes 64KB sectors with 4KB/32KB subsectors, W7 suffix denotes W-PDFN 6x5mm package, IT suffix denotes -40 to 85°C industrial temp.

The MT25QL128 uses a serial peripheral interface (SPI) for command/address/data transfer. In standard SPI mode, data is transferred on a single data line (SI/SO) at up to 133MHz. Dual I/O mode uses two data lines for 2x throughput, and Quad I/O mode uses four data lines (SI, SO, SIO2, SIO3) for 4x throughput, achieving up to 90MB/s at 133MHz. The device supports both Single Transfer Rate (STR) and Double Transfer Rate (DTR) modes — in DTR, data is captured on both rising and falling clock edges. The XIP feature allows the host MCU/FPGA to execute code directly from the Flash without first copying to RAM. Program/Erase Suspend allows interrupting a long erase operation to read or program a different sector. The HOLD# pin pauses serial communication without deselecting the device, and RESET# provides hardware reset.
