Product Overview
AD736ARZ-R7 from Analog Devices is a low-cost, low-power true RMS-to-DC converter with +/-0.3% accuracy, 200mV full-scale, 460kHz bandwidth, 200uA supply current. SOIC-8 industrial grade. -R7 = 7-inch reel.
Working Principle
Computes true RMS, average rectified, or absolute value of AC input waveforms. High-impedance FET input (10^12 ohm) or low-impedance (8k ohm) input. Only one external averaging capacitor required. Output buffer amplifier provides low impedance. Crest factor up to 5 with only 2.5% additional error.
