The VXB1-1199-16M000000 is a 16MHz CMOS crystal oscillator from Vectron’s VXB1 series, providing a stable clock reference in a compact 3.2×2.5mm surface-mount package. The VXB1 series is designed for cost-sensitive applications requiring reliable clock generation with good frequency stability. Typical applications include microcontroller clocking, Ethernet PHY 25MHz-derived references, and general digital logic timing.

The crystal oscillator integrates a quartz crystal resonator and a CMOS oscillation/maintenance circuit in a single hermetically sealed package. The quartz crystal provides a high-Q resonant element that determines the oscillation frequency with high stability. The internal CMOS circuit maintains oscillation, amplifies the signal, and shapes it into a clean square-wave output with fast rise/fall times. The oscillator is active (requires power supply) and starts oscillating automatically when power is applied.
