The TL072CDR is a dual JFET-input operational amplifier from Texas Instruments in an SOIC-8 package. Each amplifier incorporates well-matched, high-voltage JFET and bipolar transistors in a monolithic integrated circuit. The JFET input stage provides very high input impedance and extremely low input bias current (65pA typical), making it ideal for high-impedance source applications. The 3MHz gain bandwidth product and 13V/µs slew rate support audio and moderate-frequency signal processing. Total harmonic distortion of 0.003% and input noise of 18nV/√Hz make the TL072 the industry standard for professional audio and hi-fi applications. The CD suffix indicates 0°C to +70°C commercial temperature range.

The TL072CDR uses a JFET-input stage followed by a bipolar output stage. The N-channel JFET differential input pair provides very high input impedance and low input bias current because JFET gates are reverse-biased PN junctions that draw negligible DC current. The JFET input stage also offers low noise (18nV/√Hz) and excellent CMRR (100dB typical). The input common-mode range extends to the positive supply rail (VCC+), accommodating single-supply configurations. The bipolar output stage provides output short-circuit protection and can swing within approximately 1.5V of each supply rail. Internal frequency compensation ensures stability in unity-gain configurations without external components.
