Packaging Standard

Import Duties & Taxes
All import duties, customs clearance fees and local taxes incurred for international shipments shall be borne by the buyer. We will provide complete customs documents to assist you with clearance procedures.
- Handling of Lost or Damaged Goods
- In case of loss or severe damage during transit, please contact us within 48 hours after receiving the tracking information. We will assist you in filing a claim with the logistics provider.

The SP3232ECY-L/TR is an RS-232 transceiver solution from MaxLinear designed for portable and handheld applications. The device integrates a high-efficiency charge pump power supply that requires only 0.1uF capacitors in 3.3V operation, reducing board space and component count. The 2-driver/2-receiver configuration supports full RS-232 serial communication with data rates up to 120 kbps. Enhanced ESD protection exceeding +/-15kV (HBM) ensures robust operation in electrically harsh environments. The TSSOP-16 package provides a compact footprint suitable for space-constrained designs.
The SP3232ECY-L/TR operates by converting TTL/CMOS logic levels to RS-232 compliant voltage levels using an integrated dual charge pump. The first charge pump is a voltage doubler that generates approximately +5.5V from the VCC supply, while the second charge pump is a voltage inverter that generates approximately -5.5V. These boosted voltages power the RS-232 driver outputs, ensuring compliance with EIA/TIA-232-F amplitude requirements even at 3.0V supply. The receivers perform the opposite function, converting RS-232 input levels to TTL/CMOS output levels with approximately 300mV of hysteresis for noise immunity. A 5kOhm pulldown resistor on each receiver input ensures a defined logic high output when the input is floating.
