The SN74LVC1G123DCTR from Texas Instruments is a single retriggerable monostable multivibrator in VSSOP-8 package. It generates an output pulse of precise duration determined by external timing resistor (Rext) and capacitor (Cext). The retriggerable feature allows the output pulse to be extended by applying additional trigger pulses before the current pulse terminates. The direct clear (CLR) input immediately terminates the output pulse. The wide 1.65V to 5.5V supply range supports mixed-voltage systems.

The SN74LVC1G123DCTR operates as a retriggerable one-shot multivibrator. (1) A rising edge on the A input (with B high) or a falling edge on the B input (with A low) triggers the monostable. The output Q goes high for a duration determined by the external Rext and Cext components: tw = 0.45 x Rext x Cext. (2) The retriggerable feature means that if a new trigger occurs before the current pulse ends, the pulse is extended by another full period from the new trigger edge. This is useful for watchdog and missing-pulse detector applications. (3) The CLR input immediately resets the output regardless of the current timing state. The device uses LVC technology for high-speed operation with 6.5ns propagation delay at 5V and low power consumption.
