The SM10B-GHS-TB(LF)(SN) is a 10-position 1.25mm pitch surface-mount side-entry shrouded header from JST’s GH connector series. The 10-circuit configuration provides a versatile multi-signal interface for display data, communication, and control applications. The GH series was developed for PDP and LCD applications and features low insertion force for easy mating, which is especially valuable for 10-circuit connectors where cumulative insertion force across all contacts can make mating difficult. The side-entry orientation enables low-profile cable routing along the PCB, suitable for slim consumer electronics.

The SM10B-GHS-TB(LF)(SN) operates as part of the GH disconnectable connector system. The 10-position header mates with the GHR-10V-S wire housing using SGH crimp contacts on 32-26 AWG wire. The low insertion force is achieved through a spring contact design that provides adequate normal force for reliable contact while reducing the force required to mate the connector. The side-entry orientation directs cable egress parallel to the PCB, with insertion forces applied as shear on the solder joints rather than peel. The 1.25mm pitch provides a good balance between density and PCB routability, with trace width and spacing requirements that are achievable with standard PCB fabrication processes.
