The MB6S is a single-phase glass-passivated bridge rectifier rated for 600V peak repetitive reverse voltage and 0.5A average rectified output current. Packaged in a compact MBS surface-mount format, it provides full-wave rectification in a minimal footprint. The device features a low forward voltage drop of 1.0V per element and can withstand 30A peak forward surge current, making it suitable for low-power AC-DC conversion in adapters, chargers, and household appliances.

The MB6S contains four diodes in a Graetz bridge configuration converting single-phase AC into full-wave rectified DC. During the positive half-cycle, two diagonally opposite diodes conduct; during the negative half-cycle, the other two conduct. This full-wave rectification doubles the output frequency relative to the input, reducing ripple and improving filtering efficiency. The glass passivation process protects the silicon junctions from contamination and ensures reliable long-term operation.
