TLP184 from Toshiba is a phototransistor photocoupler with 3750Vrms isolation and high CTR (50-300%) in compact MFSOP-6. 8mm creepage meets IEC safety. GaAlAs LED and silicon phototransistor for fast response.

Working Principle

GaAlAs infrared LED emits light detected by phototransistor. LED current (IF) causes proportional collector current (IC = IF x CTR). Optical coupling provides electrical isolation with no electrical connection.
