The 100,000 write/erase cycle endurance and 20-year data retention ensure long-term reliability.

The MX25L12845E operates through a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) supporting Mode 0 and Mode 3. In single I/O mode, data is transferred serially on the SI pin at up to 104MHz. Dual and quad I/O modes leverage two or four data lines simultaneously, quadrupling throughput. Internally, the memory array is organized as 128M x 1 / 64M x 2 / 32M x 4 bits. Write operations are page-based (256 bytes), with automatic erase-before-write capability. The on-chip write-protect mechanism locks sectors or blocks via hardware WP pin or software status register bits, preventing accidental data corruption.
