With 2,800 DSP48E1 slices and 37 Mb of block RAM, it provides exceptional DSP processing capability for wireless baseband, radar, and high-performance computing. The -1 speed grade operates in the commercial temperature range and supports PCIe Gen3, 10GBASE-KR, and OTN protocols through integrated transceiver hard IP.

The XC7VX485T-1FFG1157C is based on AMD’s 7-series FPGA architecture with 28nm HPL process technology. The logic fabric consists of Configurable Logic Blocks (CLBs) containing LUT6 (6-input lookup tables), carry chains, and flip-flops that can implement any combinational or sequential logic function. The DSP48E1 slice provides a 25×18-bit multiplier, 48-bit accumulator, pattern detect, and pre-adder for efficient FIR filter and FFT implementations. The GTX transceivers implement a PMA/PCS architecture: the Physical Medium Attachment performs serial/deserial conversion, clock data recovery (CDR), and transmit equalization at up to 12.5 Gbps, while the Physical Coding Sublayer handles 8B/10B or 64B/66B encoding and protocol-specific framing. Block RAM is organized as 36Kb dual-port memory blocks that can be cascaded for wider or deeper memory configurations. The XADC block provides a 12-bit, 1 MSPS ADC for on-chip temperature and voltage monitoring.
