The XC6SLX4-2TQG144C from AMD (formerly Xilinx) is a Spartan-6 LX FPGA in TQFP-144 with exposed pad. It features 3840 logic cells, 600 slices with dual-register 6-input LUTs, 216Kbit Block RAM (12x18Kb), and 8 DSP48A1 slices with 18×18 multipliers. The -2 speed grade provides the highest performance. Two Clock Management Tiles (CMTs) each contain a PLL and DCM for flexible clock generation. The device supports DDR/DDR2/DDR3/LPDDR external memory interfaces and multi-standard SelectIO.

The XC6SLX4-2TQG144C operates as a programmable logic device. (1) The core fabric consists of Configurable Logic Blocks (CLBs) each containing 4 slices with dual-register 6-input LUT architecture. Each LUT can implement any 6-input Boolean function or be configured as distributed RAM or shift register. The dual-register design enables higher logic density. (2) The 12 Block RAM modules (18Kb each) provide dedicated dual-port memory for FIFOs, data buffers, and soft processor memory. The 8 DSP48A1 slices contain 18×18 hardware multipliers with accumulator (MACC) for efficient DSP operations. (3) Two CMTs provide clock management with PLL for frequency synthesis and DCM for phase/delay adjustment. The SelectIO interface supports multiple I/O standards from 1.2V to 3.3V including differential LVDS at up to 1Gbps.
