The VS1000D-L from VLSI Solution is a complete Ogg Vorbis player SoC with VSDSP4 core, stereo DAC, earphone driver, USB Mass Storage, and NAND Flash interface in an LQFP-48 package.

The VS1000D boots from internal ROM, loads firmware from NAND Flash or SPI EEPROM, then enters the player application. The VSDSP4 core decodes Ogg Vorbis/MP3/WMA audio streams and feeds the stereo DAC. The USB controller implements Mass Storage for file transfer or Audio Device class for USB headphone mode. Internal regulators generate AVDD (2.8V analog), CVDD (2.3V digital core), and IOVDD (I/O voltage) from a single VHIGH input. EarSpeaker spatial processing enhances headphone listening by widening the stereo image.
