The TPS7A2033PDBVR is a Texas Instruments 200mA low-dropout linear regulator with a fixed 3.3V output in a 5-pin SOT-23 (DBV) package. The device combines ultra-low 4.4µV RMS output noise (100Hz to 100kHz) with 85dB PSRR at 1kHz, making it ideal for noise-sensitive applications such as RF transceivers, PLL/VCO power supplies, and high-resolution ADC/DAC reference voltages. The 2.2V to 6V input range supports Li-ion and 5V logic rails. The 6.5µA quiescent current is among the lowest for high-PSRR LDOs, extending battery life in portable RF equipment. The 200mA output current is sufficient for most low-power RF and analog loads. The SOT-23-5 package provides the smallest possible footprint for space-constrained designs. No external noise-reduction capacitor is required to achieve the low-noise specification, simplifying the BOM.

The TPS7A20 uses a PMOS pass transistor with a low-noise bandgap reference and a carefully designed error amplifier to achieve 4.4µV RMS output noise. The bandgap reference uses a chopper-stabilized architecture to reduce 1/f noise. The error amplifier bandwidth and compensation are optimized to maximize PSRR at low frequencies while maintaining stability with ceramic output capacitors. The 85dB PSRR at 1kHz is achieved through the high loop gain of the error amplifier and the low-noise reference feedforward path. The PMOS pass element provides low dropout voltage and the rail-to-rail output capability. The 6.5µA IQ results from operating the internal bias circuits at the minimum current needed to maintain regulation and noise performance.
