The TPA6211A1TDGNRQ1 from Texas Instruments is an AEC-Q100 Grade 2 qualified, 3.1W mono fully differential Class-AB audio power amplifier designed for automotive and portable applications. The device delivers 3.1W into a 3-ohm speaker from a 5V supply at 10% THD. The fully differential architecture eliminates two input coupling capacitors and provides -63dB CMRR, reducing susceptibility to RF noise and ground-loop interference common in automotive environments. The -80dB PSRR from 20Hz to 2kHz allows direct operation from the vehicle battery supply without a separate voltage regulator. The device requires only three external components (input resistor, bypass capacitor, and output filter) for basic operation. The differential output doubles the voltage swing compared to single-ended, providing 4x the output power for the same supply voltage. (4) PSRR: The -80dB power supply rejection ensures that battery voltage ripple and noise do not appear at the speaker output, eliminating the need for a separate low-noise supply.
