The NXP TJA1043T-1 is a high-speed CAN FD transceiver in SOIC-8 package supporting data rates up to 5Mbps. With silent mode, standby mode, and 15uA standby current, it is optimized for automotive ECU CAN interfaces where power management and EMC performance are critical. AEC-Q100 qualified for automotive applications.

The TJA1043T-1 provides the physical layer interface between a CAN controller (typically integrated in an MCU) and the differential CAN bus. In Normal mode, it converts single-ended TTL-level TXD/RXD signals to and from differential CANH/CANL bus signals. In Silent mode, the transmitter is disabled but the receiver remains active, allowing listen-only operation without bus loading. The Standby mode reduces current to 15uA while monitoring the bus for wake-up patterns. Sleep mode further reduces current. The CAN FD support enables faster data rates (up to 5Mbps) during the data phase while maintaining backward compatibility with classical CAN (up to 1Mbps).
