The STM32F765VIT6 from STMicroelectronics is a high-performance ARM Cortex-M7 32-bit microcontroller in a LQFP-100 package. Operating at up to 216MHz with a double-precision floating-point unit (FPU) and full DSP instruction set, the device delivers 462 DMIPS performance. The Art Accelerator with 16KB L1 instruction/data cache enables 0-wait-state execution from both embedded Flash and external memories. The 2MB dual-bank Flash supports read-while-write operation, and the 512KB SRAM includes 128KB of data TCM RAM for deterministic real-time data access and 16KB of instruction TCM RAM for critical routines. Advanced peripherals include three 12-bit 2.4MSPS ADCs, two 12-bit DACs, a Chrom-ART (DMA2D) graphic accelerator, hardware JPEG codec, LCD-TFT controller, 10/100 Ethernet MAC with IEEE 1588v2, USB 2.0 HS/FS OTG, six SPIs, four I2Cs, eight USARTs, three CANs, two SDMMCs, dual-mode Quad-SPI, SAI audio interfaces, and SPDIFRX. An FMC supports external SDRAM, SRAM, NOR, and NAND memories.

The STM32F765VIT6 integrates a Cortex-M7 core with advanced memory and peripheral subsystems. (1) Core: The Cortex-M7 features a 6-stage superscalar pipeline with branch prediction, achieving 2.14 DMIPS/MHz. The double-precision FPU supports IEEE 754 single and double-precision operations in hardware. DSP instructions include SIMD, MAC, and saturating arithmetic. (2) Art Accelerator: A proprietary instruction prefetch and cache system with 16KB I-cache and 16KB D-cache eliminates wait states for linear code execution from Flash. An adaptive real-time accelerator prefetches branches. (3) TCM: The 128KB data TCM and 16KB instruction TCM provide deterministic, zero-wait-state access for time-critical data and code, independent of the cache. (4) DMA: Two 16-stream DMA controllers with FIFOs and burst support handle data transfers between peripherals and memory without CPU intervention. The Chrom-ART DMA2D provides hardware-accelerated 2D graphics operations. (5) Ethernet: The 10/100 MAC includes IEEE 1588v2 hardware timestamping for precise time synchronization in networked systems.
