The STM32F205RET6 is a high-performance microcontroller from STMicroelectronics based on the Arm Cortex-M3 32-bit RISC core operating at up to 120 MHz. The device incorporates the ART Accelerator adaptive real-time memory accelerator that enables zero-wait-state program execution from Flash memory at 120 MHz, delivering 150 DMIPS performance. The 512 KB Flash and 128+4 KB SRAM provide ample code and data storage. The device features three 12-bit ADCs with up to 6 MSPS throughput in triple interleaved mode, two 12-bit DACs, and 16-stream DMA with centralized FIFOs. Advanced connectivity includes USB 2.0 OTG HS/FS, 10/100 Ethernet MAC with IEEE 1588v2, dual CAN, SDIO, and camera interface. The 64-pin LQFP package provides 51 GPIO with 5V tolerance.

The STM32F205RET6 is built around the Arm Cortex-M3 processor core with a multi-AHB bus matrix connecting the Flash (with ART Accelerator), SRAM, DMA controllers, and peripherals. The ART Accelerator uses a cache and prefetch queue to eliminate wait states when executing from Flash at 120 MHz. The bus matrix allows concurrent access to different memory regions and peripherals by multiple masters (CPU, DMA, Ethernet, USB). The three ADCs can operate independently or in triple interleaved mode for 6 MSPS throughput. The DMA controller provides 16 streams with centralized FIFOs for efficient data transfer between peripherals and memory without CPU intervention. Power management includes Sleep, Stop, and Standby low-power modes with a VBAT domain for RTC and backup register retention.
