The NCS2250SN2T1G is an onsemi high-speed low-voltage comparator in a SOT-23-5 package with rail-to-rail input and push-pull output. The 50ns propagation delay at 100mV overdrive makes it suitable for high-speed sampling circuits and timing-critical applications. The rail-to-rail input extends 200mV beyond both supply rails, allowing voltage sensing at ground or at the supply voltage without requiring level shifting. The 1.8V to 5.5V supply range supports operation from low-voltage logic rails. The push-pull output provides active drive in both directions without requiring an external pull-up resistor, making it faster than open-drain alternatives for capacitive loads. The 150uA typical supply current at 5V is low enough for battery-powered applications. The AEC-Q100 qualification (NCV2250 variants) supports automotive applications. The 6mV maximum input offset voltage and 88dB PSRR / 81dB CMRR ensure accurate threshold detection even in noisy environments.

The NCS2250SN2T1G uses a CMOS comparator architecture with a rail-to-rail input stage. The input stage consists of complementary N-channel and P-channel differential pairs that cover the entire common-mode voltage range from VSS-200mV to VDD+200mV. The differential input voltage is amplified by the gain stages and drives the push-pull CMOS output stage. When the non-inverting input exceeds the inverting input by more than the offset voltage, the output drives to VDD (logic high). When the inverting input exceeds the non-inverting input, the output drives to VSS (logic low). The push-pull output stage provides active sourcing and sinking, resulting in fast output transitions (typical 50ns propagation delay at 100mV overdrive). The 150uA supply current is consumed continuously while the comparator is active, regardless of the output state.
