The LTC1966IMS8#PBF from Analog Devices (formerly Linear Technology) is a precision micropower true RMS-to-DC converter utilizing a patented delta-sigma (∆Σ) computational technique. With 0.1% gain accuracy, 0.02% linearity, and 155 µA supply current, it is far simpler to use, more accurate, and lower power than conventional log-antilog RMS-to-DC converters. Only one external capacitor is required for operation.
