The LMC6482IMMX/NOPB is a Texas Instruments dual CMOS rail-to-rail input and output operational amplifier with industry-leading 20 fA input bias current. The rail-to-rail input common-mode range extends to both supply rails, and the output swings within 20 mV of the rails with 100 kohm loads. The 82 dB CMRR and PSRR provide excellent accuracy even with rail-to-rail input signals. The device is specified at 3V, 5V, and 15V supplies, making it suitable for both low-voltage battery-powered and higher-voltage systems. The A-grade offers 0.75 mV maximum offset voltage. It can drive loads as low as 600 ohm to the rails. Packaged in 8-pin VSSOP (DGK) rated for -40C to +85C.

The LMC6482 uses a complementary input stage with both P-channel and N-channel differential pairs operating in parallel. When the common-mode voltage is near the negative rail, the P-channel pair is active; near the positive rail, the N-channel pair takes over, providing continuous rail-to-rail input operation. The CMOS output stage uses complementary PMOS and NMOS transistors, allowing the output to swing to within millivolts of both supply rails. The ultra-low 20 fA input bias current is achieved through input gate protection circuits with minimal leakage paths, critical for high-impedance sensor applications like photodiodes and pH electrodes.
